Pennbrook Middle School Students Win at Technology Student Association Conference

Pennbrook Middle School students in the Technology Student Association (TSA) competed in the regional conference held at Colonial Middle School on Saturday, January 27, 2024. 14 students competed and all qualified for the state competition.


TSA is a student organization focused on career readiness and technical exploration. TSA fosters personal growth, leadership, and opportunities in technology, innovation, design and engineering. Students in middle and high school have the opportunity to apply and integrate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics concepts through co-curricular activities, competitive events, and related programs.


Pennbrook students competed and placed in the following categories:


  • Career Prep- 2nd place, Elva Vibhute

  • Coding- 2nd place, team

  • Cybersecurity- 6th, Sanat Shrikhande

  • Essays on Technology- 1st, Amanda Lee

  • Inventions and Innovations- 3rd, team

  • Leadership Strategies- 2nd, team

  • Mechanical Engineering- 3rd, team

  • Mechanical Engineering- 6th, team

  • Off the Grid- 4th, team

  • Prepared Speech- 4th, Elva Vibhute

  • Problem Solving- 1st, team

  • Problem Solving- 3rd, team

  • Promotional Marketing- 7th, Amanda Lee

  • Structural Engineering- 1st, team

  • Video Game Design- 5th, team

  • Website Design- 3rd, team
