Goal and Steps

 District Comprehensive Goal


  • Increase student academic achievement: 1.5% increase in proficiency on PSSA and Keystone 
  • Review and adjust structure for superintendent's student advisory process
  • Continued expansion of UDL across levels
  • PBIS Middle Level Implementation in two middle schools. The third middle school will prepare for implementation next year.
  • Implementation, review/monitoring, and adjustments necessary for new middle school schedule
  • Implementation of new structure and processes within the special education department
  • Development, approval, implementation, of and professional development for K-12 STEEL standards implementation

Academic Excellence 


  • Review of playground assessment and action plan for addressing findings and financing updates
  • Comprehensive review of coaching handbook for athletics
  • Review, evaluate, and improve processes for special education programming adding redundancy and increased communication
  • Continue to enhance recruitment, hiring, and retention strategies to employ a diverse staff in all aspects of the district
  • Expand network of community resources for students and staff through community conversations and engagement
  • Refined focus in professional development and equity work focused upon data-driven instructional shifts and behavior management through an equity lens
  • Review and reimagine communication efforts such as Community Conversations and Superintendent's Student Council to increase participation, engagement, and impact

 Equity, Access, and Cultural Responsiveness


  • Continue to implement ALICE training and safety protocols across the organization with trained trainers. Incorporate student components of training. 
  • Comprehensive review of student handbooks at both the elementary and secondary levels in accordance with Board policy changes
  • Integration of Evolv weapons detection policy and process for large events and random scanning in buildings
  • Lead process for beginning phase one of NPHS renovation, K-Pod, and Natatorium. Lead processes for phasing preparation.
  • Continued advocacy at the local and state level regarding funding to support infrastructure and facility upgrades
  • Devise and implement action plan to increase paraprofessional vacancy fill rates
  • Work with technology department to implement notification system at central office for certain discipline infractions

 Safe, Efficient, and Modern Schools


  • Lead process for new transportation center and relocation of fueling station
  • Initiate support staff salary comparison study
  • Study efficiency and effectiveness of current warehouse structure and consider/implement direct shipping program
  • Develop handbooks for facilities and operations department and for tax collectors to not only memorialize procedures, but also to ease transition of new directors in these departments
  • Improve and increase two-way communication and engagement with the North Penn community to include reorganization of the website, strengthening of social media presence, and supporting consistency among buildings
  • Conduct a formal salary study for all support staff positions through contracted service
  • Phasing and implementation of time-clock process for record-keeping and payroll processing

 Operational Excellence


  • Continued expansion and implementation of responsive classroom
  • Professional development for staff and speaker series for families to enhance capacity for supporting social and emotional well being of students and staff
  • PBIS Middle Level Implementation in two middle schools. The third middle school will prepare for implementation next year.
  • MTSS professional development and streamlined practices at the secondary level
  • Evaluation of social emotional learning program at the middle level and during Knight Zone
  • Review and expand upon mental health supports for staff through North Penn Health Care Center and through St. Luke's as EAP provider
  • Administer climate survey and incorporate student and staff results into planning for professional development plan and school calendar for 25-26

Social and Emotional Wellness


  • Review, develop, submit, and begin implementation of new comprehensive plan
  • Continued growth of Community Hosted Internship Program and dual enrollment opportunities
  • Enhance partnerships with community leaders in an effort to expand opportunities for students and families
  • Facilitate the sale of the Movie Lots
  • Lead process for new labor agreement with North Penn Educational Support Professionals Association
  • Financing plan for the NPHS project including comprehensive onsite presentation for bond rating
  • Increase in authentic assessment, internship, workplace experience, and dual enrollment opportunities at the secondary level
